This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from Poseidon Animal Health (the “Site”).
Personal information we collect

Collection of Data for promotional purposes
Collecting client information such as your name, address, phone number, email address and credit card details is an integral part of providing many of the services we offer. Circumstances where we may be required to collect personal details from you include:

This data is used to manage and complete your orders, keep you up to date with promotional events and inform you of any changes to our website and/or stockists. Poseidon Animal Health NZ does not sell, rent or disclose your personal details unless required to by law. We would like to assure you that your information will not be divulged, excepting in the aforementioned circumstances.
How do we use your personal information?
We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this Order Information to:

- Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and
- When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.

Data retention
When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.
Website and Credit Card Security
Poseidon Animal Health NZ uses the industry standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol, which encrypts your information as it is transmitted over the internet. This encryption scrambles details such as credit card numbers, billing details, and delivery addresses so that other computers are unable to decipher the information, ensuring your privacy and security.
To ensure you are accessing a secure server, look for the unbroken key or closed lock symbol located either at the bottom left or top right of your browser window. If it appears, then SSL is active. You can double-check by looking at the URL. If SSL is active, then the first characters of the URL will read /https/ rather than just /http/. It is important for you to protect against unauthorized access to your password and your computer.
Our websites use “cookies” – small data files that are stored on your computer when you visit a website. Cookies enable you to shop on our websites and may be used in a variety of ways to enhance or personalize your online browsing and shopping experience. While information is sought from you for the sole purpose of improving our service levels, you have the right to either refuse to provide details about yourself or remain anonymous. Having said that, some of our services can only be provided if we have certain information.
